The family and I were recently at Lake Lanier Beach. It is a beautiful beach here in North Georgia with plenty of cool places to hang out and enjoy the lake. We had a great time chillin and playing some games along with getting a little burnt as well. However, the cool thing for me wasn’t the water, the games or even getting attacked by my daughter with a giant inflatable seahorse. It was actually when we were leaving the beach. As we were traveling out of the main entrance we spotted a beautiful mature doe. There she was in all her beauty staring right at us. Then I heard it, “Dad when are we going to go hunting”. Sooooo cool to hear my 5 yr old along with my 6 yr old daughter exciting about hunting. Maybe it is due to the fact that we speak about hunting, fishing and the outdoors on a regular basis or perhaps its something internal in which they were born. Maybe it’s simply introducing them to our sport and heritage. Regardless, of the reason it was a Kodak moment (FYI..that’s a camera for all you IPHONE generation people) and one I won’t forget. – peace
